When freelance creatives Nick Carter and Steve Williams came up with an attention-grabbing asthma awareness concept, I brought it to life through dynamic 3D typography. I hadn’t worked with them before; this one came out of the blue via a recommendation, if I remember correctly.
By the time I got involved, the campaign featuring French footballer Louis Saha had already been shot. In hindsight, I suspect another team had taken an earlier crack at it and missed the mark. I was probably the last throw of the dice, and at the time, a competitive option.
I used the latest modelling and rendering techniques to create photorealistic typography that was both bold and clearly legible. Simple idea, well executed.
