I was fortunate to return to online profile emblem work for Halo Infinite, having worked on the same kind of content for Halo 5: Guardians.
These illustrations were created during the early ideation phase, when there was still room to explore and push ideas creatively before the technical specifications for final execution had been defined.
The brief was to use a limited four-colour palette against a dark background to create bold, iconic Halo imagery that would immediately appeal to the game’s core audience. Each emblem was built from layered vector elements, allowing players to customise the colour combinations while preserving the clarity and impact of the original design.
The final imagery was simplified for performance reasons, but retained the strong graphic impact we had set out to achieve. These emblems were great fun to create, offering an opportunity to lean into illustration and pure graphic design.
