This was a small but enjoyable app icon collaboration with the team at Hutch Games, including a few old friends from my PlayStation days. Hutch brings care and attention to every detail, which always makes them a pleasure to work with.
During the design process, we explored a wide range of styles, compositions and visual ideas before settling on a vibrant neon abstraction. The final direction distilled the speed, energy and precision of Formula 1 into something bold and distinctive, while remaining clearly recognisable at the small scale required for an app icon.
